ARRESTS

Gale R. Nightingale, 23, of Seneca was arrested by Seneca Police Department (PD) on June 27 on a Brown County warrant for contempt of court. Nightingale was released on $1,000 surety bond on June 27 with a court date of July 12 at 9 a.m.

Adalberto Perez, 33, of Dallas, Texas, was arrested by the Kansas Highway Patrol on June 30 on charges of driving without a valid driver’s license and driving without insurance. He bonded out on the same day on a $750 cash bond with a court date of 9:30 a.m. on Aug. 8.

Shawn N. Huerter was released to the custody of U.S. Corrections for transport to Georgia.

Faitele C. Fagota, 23, of Axtell was arrested on June 29 by the Seneca PD for the offense of operating a vehicle without a license. He was released on June 30 on $250 cash bond with a court date of Aug. 16 at 9 a.m.

Matthew S. Clagett was released on June 30 on $2,500 own recognizance bond with a court date of Aug. 31 at 9:30 a.m.

Christopher B. Watkins, 31, of Seneca was arrested on July 1 by the KHP for the offense of operating a vehicle without a license. He was released on July 1 on $250 cash bond with a court date of Aug. 1 at 9:30 a.m.

Donald D. Scott Jr., 34, of Wetmore was arrested on July 4 by the NMSO for the offenses of driving under the influence and endangering a child. He remains in custody and bond has not been set.

Crystal L. Anderson was placed on probation on Nemaha County charges and released to Jackson County authorities on June 30.

Kevin Schmitz was released on July 5.

Harvey Webster was transferred to the custody of Kansas Department of Corrections on July 6.

Kirby J. Walls, 53, of Sabetha was arrested on July 5 by the NMSO for the offenses of battery and disorderly conduct. Walls remains in custody.

ACCIDENTS

At 4:05 p.m. Saturday, July 1, Brandon Haverkamp, 18, of Seneca was traveling northeast on J Road when he lost control of his motorcycle, causing him to crash into the ditch. Haverkamp was injured in the accident, but was not transported from the scene.

At 11:36 p.m. Tuesday, July 4, Dean Hirsch, 85, of Powhattan was backing out from Essie Street near Kansas Highway 71 when he hit a parked vehicle. Hirsch was driving a 2009 Ford Taurus. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.
