Morrill City Council

The Morrill City Council met in regular session Monday, Aug. 21, with members Dan Halstead, Todd Gruber, Miles Ploeger, Mary Meyer and Robert Wahwasuck present. Mayor Roger Price presided. Superintendent Lee Wymer also was present.
Minutes of the budget hearing and regular meeting were approved. Vouchers were approved.
After discussion, the council approved the 2017 Standard Traffic Ordinances and the Uniform Public Offense Ordinances.
The council held a 10 minutes executive session to discuss the clerk’s annual evaluation. After reconvening, the council decided to increase the clerk’s wages by $.25 per hour.
Concerning the small claims court case, the defendant has filed an appeal. The clerk is waiting for notification from the court of a court date.
Wymer stated he had broken the chain saw and has parts ordered to repair it. Also, Wymer reported that payments are now being made on the water meter for the restaurant.
After reviewing the delinquent accounts, it was decided to shut off one service if payment is not made, and to give another individual a short extension as was requested.
