Morrill City Council 9.18.17

The Morrill City Council met in regular session on Monday, Sept. 18, with members Miles Ploeger, Dan Halstead, Mary Meyer, Robert Wahwasuck and Todd Gruber present. Mayor Roger Price presided. Superintendent Lee Wymer was present.
The Morrill Tip Top 4-H Club presented a proclamation declaring Oct. 1 through Oct. 7 as National 4-H Week. Council all signed the proclamation.
The clerk said she had contacted a couple of individuals concerning the municipal judge position and also had found out information concerning the city attorney position, which will becoming vacant. The clerk said she is awaiting responses from the people contacted. Permission was given to contact the current city attorney for assistance with the small claims court.
It was decided to send an individual a notice of violation concerning the propane tank that had been installed. It was also decided new utility hookups must be approved by the council.
After discussion of the State putting an overlay on the west end of Roxanna Street, the council approved allowing the State to go to Miami Street with the repair.
After reviewing the delinquent account list, it was decided to shut off eight services if payments are not made.
Also at the meeting, minutes and vouchers were approved.
