Morrill City Council 10.16.2017

The Morrill City Council met in regular session on Monday, Oct. 16, with members Todd Gruber, Miles Ploeger, Robert Wahwasuck and Dan Halstead present. Mayor Roger Price presided. Superintendent Lee Wymer and Ashley Martinez were present.
Minutes and vouchers were approved.
Martinez stated she is off maternity leave and will be talking with individuals concerning their violations. Council said they will let her know when a municipal judge has been appointed.
After reviewing the three resumes from attorneys offices, the council appointed Daniel Coughlin as the municipal judge. The matter of appointment of the city attorney was tabled until the next meeting.
It was decided the city is not going to follow the cold weather rule and to put the notice in the next newsletter. After reviewing the delinquent accounts, it was decided to shut off six services if payments are not made.
The council approved canceling check number 9039 in the amount of $133.08 and to reissue a new check.
Superintendent Wymer said his line truck needs repairs. Council instructed him to take it to Bruna Implement.
Wymer said he is getting married and would like to put his future wife on his family insurance. Council said it would be okay.
