ARRESTS

Jason Wassenberg, 29, of Marysville was arrested by the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO) on Nov. 8 on a Marshall County warrant for possession of narcotics and possession of paraphernalia, as well as a Marshall County warrant for burglary and theft of property/services. He remains in custody.

Abby Parks, 33, of Great Bend was arrested by the MCSO on Nov. 8 on a Marshall County warrant for identity theft, interference with law enforcement officer, theft of property/services and driving while suspended. She remains in custody.

Jerred Moore, 20, of Hesston was arrested by the MCSO on Nov. 10 on charges of transporting an open container and possession of liquor by minor. He bonded out on the same day on a $750 cash bond with a next court date of 9:30 a.m. on Nov. 29 .

ACCIDENTS

At 7:34 a.m. Friday, Nov. 10, Nicholas Clark, 30, of Sabetha was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 36, approximately 1/2 mile west of Y Road when he struck a deer. Clark was driving a 2013 Ford F350. More than $1,000 damage is estimated.

At 9:15 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 11, Jessica Stallbaumer, 19, of Sabetha was traveling eastbound on Kansas Highway 178 when her vehicle left the roadway striking an embankment approximately 50 feet east of I Road. Stallbaumer was driving a 2012 Ford Fusion. More than $1,000 damage is estimated.

At 6:40 a.m. Monday, Nov. 13, on Y Road approximately .2 mile north of U.S. Highway 36, James McGuire, 73, of Sabetha was traveling southbound and David Ngatia, 49, of Olathe was traveling northbound. Both vehicles were traveling close to the center line and struck mirrors. McGuire was driving a 2007 Thomas school bus. Ngatia was driving a 2009 Freightliner. More than $1,000 damage is estimated.

REPORTED CRIMES / INCIDENT RESPONSES

Sometime between 9 a.m. on Sept. 1 and 5:55 p.m. on Sept. 7, an unknown individual took approximately $500 in cash from 628 Main Street in Bern.
