Match Day nets $115,000 for local charities

Giving is contagious. Hour after hour, the donations continued to pour in at the Greater Sabetha Community Foundation’s second annual Give to Grow Match Day. The event was held Friday, Nov. 24, both online and in-person at a downtown Sabetha walk-in location.

By the end of the day, 351 monetary gifts by 150 individual donors totaling $78,318.24 had been given. Average dollars given per donor was $522.12.

Added to the day’s total was $36,750 in matching funds, bringing the grand total distributed to 31 area non-profits and projects a little more than $115,000.
