Sabetha woman injured in accident on Highway 75 north of Sabetha
An accident Monday afternoon on U.S. Highway 75 north of Sabetha resulted in non-life-threatening injuries for one Sabetha woman.
At 2:53 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, Susan J. Meyers, 69, of Sabetha was traveling northbound on U.S. Highway 75 when she stopped to make a left turn onto 200th Road. Meyers was driving a 2006 Ford passenger car.
At the same time, 37-year-old Aaron Reyes of Brownsville, Texas, was traveling northbound in a 2006 Peterbilt semi-truck. Reyes attempted to pass Meyers on the left and struck her vehicle as it was turning.
Meyers was transported by ambulance to Sabetha Community Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Reyes was not injured. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.
The accident was investigated by the Kansas Highway Patrol.
