ARRESTS

Ty A. Larson, 20, of Sabetha was arrested on Jan. 23 by the Sabetha Police Department (PD) for the offenses of possession of methamphetamine, marijuana and drug paraphernalia. Larson was released on Jan. 27 on $11,500 surety bond with a court date of Feb. 27 at 9:30 a.m.

Tristin T. Magnett was released from custody on Jan. 24 on time served.

Ryan L. Fisser, 45, of Centralia was arrested on Jan. 26 by the Seneca PD for the offense of driving under the influence and driving without required ignition interlock device. Fisser was released on Jan. 27 on $2,500 surety bond with a court date of March 21 at 5 p.m.

Thomas L. Cowan, 54, of Wymore, Neb., was arrested by the Seneca PD on Jan. 27 for the offense of driving without a valid license. He was released on Jan. 27 on $175 cash bond with a court date of Feb. 28 at 5 p.m.

Cecil R. Bone, 63, of Sabetha was arrested on Jan. 28 on a Horton Municipal Court Warrant for failure to pay. He was released on $2,500 surety bond on Jan. 28 with a court date of Feb. 26 at 4 p.m.

Linda L. Thomas, 47, of Centralia was arrested on Jan. 28 by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office for the offense of driving under the influence. She was released on $1,000 surety bond on Jan. 28 with a court date of Feb. 27 at 9:30 a.m.

ACCIDENTS

At 3:40 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 21, Grant A. Ward, 27, of Dubois, Neb., was traveling southbound on H Road approximately 1/2 mile north of 184th Road when he left the roadway and rolled. Ward was transported to the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital by ambulance. He was driving a 2002 Ford pickup. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.

At 3:55 p.m. Monday, Jan. 22, Kyler J. Krebs, 20, of Sabetha was traveling eastbound on 216th Road just east of the curve from Kansas Highway 71. Freddie A. Leuthold, 76, of Bern, was traveling southbound on Mathews Street and slid through the intersection of 216th, striking Krebs. Krebs was driving a 2009 Dodge Challenger, and Leuthold was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Impala. Damage was estimated at more than $1,000.
