Alice Louise Hasenohr
Alice Louise Hasenohr, 93, of Topeka died Monday, Jan. 29, 2018, at Lexington Park Nursing Home. She was born July 21, 1924, at Beatrice, Neb., the daughter of Carl and Louise (Holsing) Rohe.
She graduated from Clatonia High School in Nebraska. She had lived in Nebraska, Missouri and Iowa before moving to Kansas. She had worked at Wal-Mart on Wanamaker for 24 years as a cashier/trainer. She was a member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church.
Alice married Raymond August Hasenohr on Feb. 24, 1946, at Clatonia, Neb. They were married for 72 years. She was preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Donna Jean Hasenohr in 1971; and son, Larry Lee Hasenohr in 2007.
Surviving are her husband, Ray Hasenohr of the home; two daughters, Diane Kay (John) Olcott of Meriden and Marcia Ann (Allan) Spellmeier of Fairview; seven grandchildren, Nicole (Jason) Broaddus of Hoyt, Heather (Kent) Kirchmann of Ashland, Neb., Regina Olcott of Baytown, Texas, Keremy (Michael) Bachelor of Sabetha, Jared Spellmeier of Fairview, Candace (Brady) Sullivan of Gardner, and Beau (Kim) Hasenohr of Hiawatha; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, 901 SW Fillmore in Topeka. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Mount Hope Cemetery, 1807 Iowa in Hiawatha.
