Matt Beckley, 48, of Centralia was arrested by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office on Jan. 30 on a Nemaha County warrant for giving a worthless check. Beckley was released on the same day on a $320 cash bond with court date set for Feb. 27 at 4 p.m.

Tex Goodpasture, 25, of Sabetha was arrested on Feb. 1 on a Nemaha County warrant for failure to appear and a Brown County warrant for probation violation. He was released on Feb. 2 on his Nemaha County charges with a $250 own recognizance bond and court set for Feb. 15 at 4 p.m. He was released to the custody of Brown County on their charges.


At 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 27, Dean Heideman, 43, of Corning was backing out of a parking space at Centralia High School when he struck another vehicle. Heideman was driving a 2016 Ford F150. More than $1,000 damage was estimated.

At 5 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 31, Jeremy Devries, 44, of Hallam, Neb., was traveling northbound on Highway 75 approximately 80 feet north of Acorn Road when he fell asleep, causing him to lose control of his vehicle and overturn it. Devries was transported to Sabetha Community Hospital by EMS. He was driving a 2003 Oldsmobile Silhouette.

At 5:20 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 3, John Coleman, 29, of Wetmore was traveling eastbound on 96th Road approximately 543 feet east of Q Road, when he over-corrected his vehicle, causing it to roll. Coleman was driving a 2004 Chevrolet Silverado. He was transported by ambulance to Nemaha Valley Community Hospital. More than $1,000 damage was estimated.
