Brown County Commission 2.5.18

The Board of Brown County Commissioners met in regular session on Monday, Feb. 5, with the following members present: Chairman Steve Roberts, Dwight Kruse and Keith Olsen. Also present was Deputy County Clerk Dawn Boyles.

Bids were opened for a Pup Trailer for Road and Bridge District No. 2. Bids were as follows: Wildhorse Industries with a bid of $27,592.90, Technology International with a bid of $27,995.00, Transwest Trailers with a bid of $41,854.81, and Transwest Trailers with a bid of $46,401.83. District No. 2 Foreman Jerry Hisle, was present for the bid opening. The bid from Wildhorse Industries for $27,592.90 was approved.

Department Reports

Brown County Sheriff John Merchant reported there are 24 inmates — 21 males and three females — currently at the Brown County Jail. Merchant also updated the commission on a fatality fire last week in Brown County.

Also at the meeting:

Commissioners approved the Jan. 31 minutes. Commissioners appointed Ryan Menold to the Morrill Township Board as Trustee.

Commissioners entered into a 10-minute executive session on non-elected personnel with the three commissioners, Brown County  employees Teresa Clements, Yvonne Murrow and Curt Clark present to discuss personnel matters of non elected personnel with executive session necessary to protect privacy interests. No binding action was taken.

Commissioners entered into a 15-minute executive session on non-elected personnel with the three commissioners and Brown County employee Brandon Killoren present to discuss personnel matters of non elected personnel with executive session necessary to protect privacy interests. No binding action was taken.

Commissioners entered into a 10-minute executive session on non-elected personnel with the three commissioners and Brown County Appraiser Tamara Antoine present to discuss personnel matters of non elected personnel with executive session necessary to protect privacy interests. No binding action was taken.
