Consortium sets next meeting
Discussion will continue for ways to build a diverse collection of Nemaha County sites open to the public as museums and historic attractions by a Museum Consortium Group at a meeting set to begin at 5 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 20. The group — which included members from Albany Historical Society, Pony Express Museum and the Nemaha County Historical Society — met recently and developed a list of requests for consultant assistance in a wide variety of museum experiences.
Plans to manage the fundraising balancing act between what is needed for the consortium and the needs for the individual museum institutions are being researched and developed. Agenda items for the next meeting to be held at the Nemaha County Historical Museum Annex I, 113 North Sixth Street in Seneca, including the organization and marketing approaches for a County Wide Museum Weekend.
