Area hospitals named to Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals
One hundred hospitals in the nation have been named as the 2018 Top 100 Critical Access Hospitals in the U.S., according to the National Rural Health Association’s Rural Health Policy Institute, iVantage Health Analytics and the Chartis Center for Rural Health.
The hospitals included in the list are said to be “top performers in managing risk, achieving higher quality, securing better outcomes, increasing patient satisfaction and operating at a lower cost than their peers.”
Area hospitals included on the list are Sabetha Community Hospital in Sabetha, Nemaha Valley Community Hospital in Seneca and Community Memorial Healthcare in Marysville, as well as Community Medical Center in Falls City, Neb.
Other hospitals in Kansas named to the list include Cheyenne County Hospital in St. Francis, Gove County Medical Center in Quinter, Graham County Hospital in Hill City, Kingman Community Hospital in Kingman, Newman Regional Health in Emporia, Osborne County Memorial Hospital in Osborne, Ottawa County Health Center in Minneapolis, Rawlins County Health Center in Atwood, Rooks County Health Center in Plainville, Russell Regional Hospital in Russell, Smith County Memorial Hospital in Smith Center and Trego County Lemke Memorial Hospital in WaKeeney.
