ARRESTS

Anthony Newcomb was released to the custody of the Kansas Department of Corrections on March 8.

Harold D. Fischer, 29, of Paxico was booked into the Nemaha County Jail on March 7 on a Nemaha County warrant for aggravated battery and aggravated assault with bond set at $75,000. This warrant was issued as a result of a report taken on Feb. 21.

Randy Davis was released on $500 own recognizance (OR) bond on March 8 with a court date of March 26 at 1 p.m.

Michael McClary was released on $1,000 cash bond on March 9 with a court date of March 13 at 2 p.m.

Travis Jones was arrested by the NMSO on March 10 on charges of driving without a valid driver’s license, no insurance, and ignition interlock required. Jones was released on the same day on a $1,675 cash bond with a court date of April 10 at 9:30a.m.

REPORTED CRIMES / INCIDENT RESPONSES

On Friday, Feb. 9, the NMSO took a report of a scam. Victim was led to believe she was purchasing a puppy and lost $725.

Sometime between 9 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 22, and 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, an unknown individual entered the Old Grain Elevator in Oneida located at 8206 Fifth Street and removed an extension cord. Total loss was $300.
