The United Bank and Trust recently pledged $50,000 to the Nemaha County STEP Foundation in support of their ongoing 2018 capital campaign. Tory Jost, STEP Foundation director, noted this gift will support local grants across Nemaha County for years to come.
In the first grant cycle in 2018, the STEP Foundation awarded more than $111,000 to local community projects. The second grant cycle is approaching in July 2018, and the STEP Foundation board of directors and the capital campaign committee have committed to raising an additional $1.25 million to assure grant funding to adequately meet the needs of Nemaha County.
Jost expressed appreciation for the support the foundation is receiving from the community.
“We recently celebrated our 25th anniversary and took the opportunity to thank the many individuals and businesses who have offered their support over the years. Our mission to make Nemaha County a great place to live for generations to come is being fulfilled every day due to the generous nature of our citizens,” Jost said.
