Cause remains unknown in pickup truck fire
The cause remains unknown after the Sabetha Fire Department (SFD) responded to a pickup truck on fire last week.
At 4:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 2, the Sabetha Fire Department was called out to the Midtown Apartments for the report of a pickup truck on fire.
According to Sabetha Fire Chief Jim Johnson, when SFD arrived they found a 1988 Chevy pickup truck fully engulfed in flames. SFD was able to put the fire out quickly and was back at the firehouse by 4:54 p.m. The pickup truck belonged to Tony Bell of Dawson, Neb.
No injuries were reported at the time of the fire and the cause remains unknown.
SFD responded with two trucks and 13 firemen.
