Kirby Walls, 54, of Centralia was released on May 9 on a $1,000 own recognizance (OR) bond. Court is set for May 22 at 11 a.m.
Daysya Uzoma, 18, of Seneca was released on May 9 on a $500 OR bond. Court is set for May 16 at 5 p.m.
Jess Gustin, 23, of Goff was booked in the Nemaha County Jail on May 10 on a probation violation. Gustin remains in custody.
At 10:13 a.m. Friday, May 11, Brandon M. Cowley, 35, of Horton was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 36, 1/3 mile west of Y Road and attempted to make a left turn off of the highway. Brent A. Cross, 31, of St. Joseph, Mo., also was traveling westbound and attempted to pass Cowley in a no-passing zone, striking the tractor as it turned. Cowley was driving a 2015 John Deere Sprayer, and Cross was driving a 2017 Freightliner box van. More than $1,000 damage is estimated.
At 6:45 a.m. Sunday, May 13, Brenda Hammes, 52, of Seneca was traveling southbound on J Road 0.2 mile north of 160th Road when she struck a deer. Hammes was driving a 2014 Chrysler Town and Country. More than $1,000 damage is estimated.
At 8:45 a.m. Monday, May 14, Kevin D. Harmer, 58, of Marysville was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 36, 1/2 mile east of O Road when a turkey struck his windshield. He was driving a 2006 Toyota Camry. Less than $1,000 damage is estimated.
