Morrill Tip-Top 4-H Club 4.23.18

The Morrill Tip-Top 4-H Club last met on Monday, April 23, at the Morrill Community Building. Club members met at 6:30 p.m. for a pizza party prior to the meeting. Also before the meeting, Tiffany Menold led a photography meeting with help from Kate Beyer and Amber Menold.
At 7 p.m., the meeting was called to order by Vice President Amber Menold. Thadd Menold led the club in the Pledge of Allegiance and the 4-H Pledge. Roll call was answered by “Happiness is ___.” Secretary Kate Beyer read the minutes of last month’s meeting. Kiaya Beyer led the club in singing “Jingle Bells.” A birthday for the month of April was Lucas Menold, and the club sang “Happy Birthday.”
Treasurer Tyler Menold gave the treasurer’s report. Council Representative Emmie Grimm announced that there was a council meeting on April 2 and that the council would be planning to do a fundraiser at the fair in July celebrating 4-H’s 100th year anniversary.
Dayra Menold announced that she would need some help making the 4-H banner.
Leader Jennifer Ploeger announced that there would be a county-wide pool party at the Hiawatha Pool from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 5.
Ploeger also announced that 4-H camp is June 23-26, and members need to sign up by May.
Wanda Menold announced that the Morrill Alumni asked our club to serve the meal at their banquet on Sunday, May 28.
In new business, it was discussed and decided to have a food stand at the event center during a local auction.
For this month’s program, Kellen Menold gave a demonstration on how to make a tortilla pizza. Lyndsay Menold demonstrated how to make slime.
The announcement was made that May Day baskets were going to be made on May 1. A. Menold also announced that the next meeting would be May 21.
The meeting was adjourned, and the club recited the 4-H motto, “To make the best better.”
