Local members receive National FFA Foundation Scholarships
The National FFA Foundation awarded scholarships to members across the state of Kansas. FFA members were recognized for scholarship awards at the 90th Kansas FFA State Convention, May 30–June 1, on the Kansas State University campus.
Area students receiving scholarships were Wyatt Beyer, MiKayla Deters and Kyle Grimm of Sabetha.
The National Foundation offers approximately $2.7 million, generously donated by numerous sponsors, to FFA members across the nation every year. The awards range from $1,000 to $5,000 to assist with their education at a two-year or four-year institution.
The Kansas FFA Association is a statewide organization of 9,579 agricultural education students in 198 chapters in every corner of Kansas. It is part of the National FFA Organization, a national youth organization of 653,359 student members preparing for leadership and careers in the science, business and technology of agriculture with 8,568 local chapters in all 50 states, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands.
