ARRESTS

Keith R. Bullock, Jr., 25, of Humboldt, Neb., was arrested on May 31, by the Sabetha Police Department for the offense of driving while suspended. He was released on June 1 on $750 own recognizance (OR) bond with a court date of June 21 at 4 p.m.

Joshua Nixon was released on June 2 to the custody of Richardson County, Neb., after being released on $16,500 OR bond on the Nemaha County charges. Next court date for Nixon in Nemaha County is July 12 at 9 a.m.

ACCIDENTS

At 9:57 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, Ernest J. Argabright, 68, of Sabetha was traveling eastbound on U.S. Highway 36 approximately 1/2 mile east of N Road when he struck a deer. He was driving a 2011 Buick Enclave. More than $1,000 damage was estimated.

At 9:28 p.m. Tuesday, May 30, Valerie M. Niehues, 31, of Goff was traveling westbound on State Highway 9 approximately 1/4 mile west of W Road when she struck a deer. She was driving a 2015 Ford pickup. More than $1,000 damage was estimated.

At 2:40 p.m. Tuesday, May 22, Kurtis V. Beck, 14, of Seneca was traveling northbound on J Road a short distance north of 96th Road, lost control on the gravel, slid into the ditch and rolled. Beck was transported to the hospital by private vehicle. He was driving a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe. More than $1,000 damage was estimated.

At 5:20 p.m. Saturday, June 2, Anthony G. Deters, 27, of Centralia was traveling northbound on State Highway 63, 2 miles north of 128th Road when he struck a deer. He was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado. More than $1,000 damage was estimated.
