ARRESTS

Debbie D. Roybal, 46, of Seneca was arrested on June 6 by the Seneca PD on a Nemaha County warrant for giving a worthless check. Roybal remains in custody with bond set at $300. She is also being held on a Coffey County warrant for failure to appear with bond set at $10,000.

Anita Acres, 41, of Axtell was booked into the Nemaha County Jail on June 7 for the offense of giving a worthless check. She was released on $335 cash bond on June 8 with a court date of July 10 at 9:30 a.m.

Natalie Leishing was booked into the Nemaha County Jail on June 7 upon return from furlough.

Phillip L. Vanzant, 53, of Platte City, Mo., was booked into the Nemaha County Jail on June 7 on a Nemaha County warrant for failure to appear. He remains in custody with bond set at $5,500.

ACCIDENTS

At 9:02 a.m. Friday, June 1, McKenzie M. Engelken, 35, of Centralia was traveling eastbound on Locust Street just east of Fifth Street when she struck a parked vehicle. She was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Suburban. The parked vehicle was a 1984 Chevrolet pickup belonging to Brent A. Ronnebaum of Centralia. Damage is estimated at more than $1,000.
