Submitted by Jake Rieger Club Reporter
The Fairview Willing Workers met at the Fairview Community Building for their monthly meetings the second Sunday of the month in April, May and June. The meetings were all called to order by the president. The club proceeded with the Pledge of Allegiance followed by the 4-H Pledge. The business meeting were conducted using the Parliamentary Procedure.
The members discussed several events coming up. Members discussed Discovery Days, 4-H Camp at Rock Springs, and the County Fair.
The Brown County Fair will be held July 9-13. This will be the 100-year celebration.
The club is extremely proud of Megan Brockhoff for winning the theme contest. The theme will be “100 Years of Making the Best Better!”
There will be some special events this year in celebration. Everyone is looking forward to this. The members are busy working on their fair projects.
On top of individual projects, the club plans to have a float in the parade, a banner to submit for judging, and this year all clubs are to decorate a wooden cow. The club discussed plans for all of these projects. Club members will have the opportunity to write newspaper articles and record radio spots for the fair. July will be a busy and fun month.
The meetings were adjourned and followed by refreshments and recreation time.
