Morrill City Council 6.4.18

The Morrill City Council met in regular session on Monday, June 4, with members Robert Baumgartner, Dan Halstead and Todd Gruber present. Mayor Roger Price presided. Superintendent Lee Wymer was present.
Minutes and vouchers were approved.
Ronnie Davis said he feels he should not have to get a building permit to allow him to add on to his shed due to others not getting permits. Council said they would look into the matter. Davis said he feels he should be allowed to hook up all utilities to his shed due to other campers being fully hooked up. Council said the campers are not parked permanently.
Ashley Martinez said she has served several summons. Martinez said one property has been cleaned up a little. Council instructed Martinez to ticket an individual for their property needing cleaned up and to look at Fairview’s camper ordinance. Mentioned was an old trailer house that is going to be torn apart and removed from the city.
Council approved the appointment of Greg Duryea to fill the vacant council position for the rest of the term.
Council entered into a 15-minute executive session to discuss Wymer’s annual evaluation. Council reconvened and decided not to change Wymer’s pay rate.
Mentioned was having ideas for the 2019 budget available by the upcoming audit.
Mentioned was a lot of the Veterans flags at the cemetery need replaced. It was decided get the number of flags needed and the cost before making a decision.
Mentioned was some things that need maintenance in the city.
