An Omaha, Neb., man who was arrested and charged last month for sexual exploitation of a child has waived his preliminary hearing.
In a Nemaha County Courtroom on Monday, July 9, 48-year-old Daniel J. Russo III waived his preliminary hearing and is now scheduled for arraignment at 10:15 a.m. Thursday, Aug. 9.
Russo was arrested May 7, 2018, and was charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a child. It also alleges that Russo promoted a performance that included sexually explicit conduct by a child under 18 years of age.
This case was investigated by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department, the Hiawatha Police Department, and the Omaha Police Department. Russo was released from the Nemaha County Jail after posting a $50,000 bond.
