Law Enforcement Report: Nemaha County Sheriff 7.12.2018

ARRESTS

William D. Ackerman, 32, of Holton was booked into the Nemaha County Jail on July 9 on a Nemaha County warrant for probation violation. He remains in custody with bond set at $5,000.

Casey S. Swogar, 35, of Sabetha was arrested by the Sabetha Police Department on July 11 on a Brown County warrant for probation violation with bond set at $5,000. Swogar was released to the custody of Brown County on July 11.

ACCIDENTS

At 5:30 a.m. Thursday, July 5, Patrick K. Richter, 51, of Holton was traveling westbound on 104th Road, 1/4 mile west of Y Road, when he struck a deer. He was driving a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Damage was listed at more than $1,000.

At 5:40 a.m. Thursday, July 12, Kimberly K. Schuetz, 36, of Fairview was traveling westbound on U.S. Highway 36 just east of S Road when she struck a deer. She was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze. Damage was listed at more than $1,000.

REPORTED CRIMES / INCIDENT RESPONSES

The Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office (NMSO) received a report on June 24 that sometime between May 23 and June 17, unknown persons took a riding mower, push mower, log splitter and other items from 1735 56th Road in Goff. Value of loss is approximately $1,350.

NMSO received a report on June 25 that sometime in the week preceding that a double pane window at 302 Railroad in Centralia had been broken. Damage was listed at approximately $1,000.
