Submitted by Rachel Whitten, Kansas Department of Revenue Division
The Department of Revenue Division of Vehicles on Thursday announced several upgrades and new driver’s license office locations across the state, under its ongoing “Driver’s License Office Refresh Project.”
The Refresh Project includes opening a third office in Johnson County at an easily accessible location in the Rosana Square Shopping Center in Overland Park. Driver’s license offices in Independence and Seneca are moving to new locations that are better situated for issuing credentials. More moves to new office locations around the state will be announced soon.
Additionally, dozens of offices will be upgraded with additional service desks, new paint, furniture, carpet and security features.
“Almost everyone in Kansas is going to come through the doors of a driver’s license office at one time or another, and this project is designed to make that experience more efficient and comfortable,” said David Harper, director of vehicles. “This is just one of the many strategic approaches we are using to upgrade the experience of visiting the driver’s license office.”
The new office locations include:
Seneca: 203 North 8th Street, #2, Seneca, KS 66538, Open date TBA
Overland Park: 7600 W. 119th St, Suite A, Overland Park, KS 66213, Open date TBA
Temporary office in Independence:
Independence: 811 W. Laurel, Independence, KS 67301, Opening Aug. 14
Permanent office location will be announced soon.
