The Nemaha County Conservation District is again offering a poster contest to all elementary and middle school students in the county. The Poster Contest is for any child in grades kindergarten through eighth grade. This year’s theme is “Watersheds: Our Water, our Home.”
Each student who enters receives a participation prize at the end of the school year: first, second, third, fourth, fifth and five honorable mentions from each age group will receive a T-Shirt for the Poster Contest, and the first place winners will move on to state competition. The winners will be presented at the annual meeting in February 2019.
Teachers have received information and rules for the contests. If you would like a set of the rules and contest information, please email Dana Schmelzle at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The deadline for the contests is Sept. 28, so start your entries now! Contest entries can be delivered to our office at 411 North Street in Seneca. Teachers can also arrange for a pickup service by notifying our office at 785-336-2186 extension 110 by Sept. 26.
