Court Updates: Daniel Russo III
An Omaha, Neb., man who was arrested and charged in May has entered a plea of no contest to two counts of sexual exploitation of a child.
Daniel Russo III, 48, appeared in court Thursday, Sept. 13, for his arraignment, during which he pleaded no contest to the charges against him.
Russo was arrested May 7, 2018, and was charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a child. According to Nemaha County Attorney Brad Lippert, a complaint was filed in the District Court of Nemaha County that alleges that Russo persuaded, induced or enticed a child under 18 years of age to engage in sexually explicit conduct with the intent to promote the performance. It also alleges that Russo promoted a performance that included sexually explicit conduct by a child under 18 years of age.
This case was investigated by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Department, the Hiawatha Police Department, and the Omaha Police Department. Russo was released from the Nemaha County Jail after posting a $50,000 bond.
Russo is scheduled for sentencing at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1.
