Obituary: Amelia B. “Millie” Johnson
She was born on Oct. 18, 1920, in Spickard, Mo., to Elza and Maude Wagner Cornwell. She attended schools in Berwick — The Franklin School, Baker School and Fairview High School.
Millie has been employed in several places in Sabetha — Nabb’s Service and Cafe, Dan K. Chevrolet and Sabetha Community Hospital, along with caring for several young children in the area.
She is survived by a son, Jerry W. (Linda); granddaughter, Tracy Lynn (Wally) Cox; great-granddaughter Ragan (Josh) Argabright; great-grandson, Hunter Haynie; two sisters, Hope (Bill) Corber of North Hollywood, Calif., and Katherine Vorhies of Hemet, Calif.; a brother, Billy (Betty) Ott of Topeka; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Millie was preceded in death by her parents; and siblings, Ruth Grimm, Norman Cornwell, Ada Thomas, Eula Ellingwood, Fern Henderson, Mary Ann Lovelady and Willa Ramsey.
Services are pending. Memorial donations may be made to the Sabetha Manor.
