The Fairview Willing Workers met for their October meeting on Sunday, Oct. 21. They met at the Fairview Community Building. There were 13 members and 12 parents in attendance. The meeting was called to order by President Hunter Lowdermilk.
Roll Call was done by Secretary Megan Brockhoff. Roll call was answered by naming your favorite snack. During club business, discussion was about the upcoming Achievement Night which will be at 3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 3, at the Fisher Center.
We also discussed an upcoming Project Leadership meeting that will be held in Holton on Nov. 14. All club members were encouraged to enroll by the end of the month. October begins a new 4-H year.
New leaders are Mark and Becky Meyer and Andrew and Tiffany Baumgartner.
Becky Meyer and Lori Rieger did an installation of the new officers for 2018-19. Each officer was presented with an officer instruction book and a pen. We have two Cloverbud members this year. New yearbooks were given out. Two programs were presented.
H. Lowdermilk gave a program on “How to do a Buymanship project,” and Walker Lowdermilk on woodworking.
After the meeting was adjourned, M. Meyer took members on a hayrack ride around Fairview. The club returned and a potluck meal was enjoyed by all. After the meal, everyone joined in decorating and painting pumpkins. It was a very fun and active meeting and everyone had a great time.
