Morrill City Council 10.15.18

The Morrill City Council met in regular session on Monday, Oct. 15, with members Todd Gruber, Kevin Wikle, Robert Baumgartner and Dan Halstead present. President of Council Todd Gruber presided.
Minutes and vouchers were approved.
The council decided to appoint Brad Stolzenberger to fill the vacant council position. Stolzenberger then took the Oath of Office.
Court was not held due to continuances given.
Ashley Martinez has left notice to the owner of the property where the old trailer is to have it removed by Monday, Nov. 5. Martinez stated she had served an individual with a Contempt Citation. She said she had sent a notice to the owner of the church to have a plan of action submitted to the council by Saturday, Oct. 20. Discussed were options to have properties cleaned up.
Fire Chief Charlie Gruber said the fire department had received a grant that will pay one half of the cost to purchase radios and chargers, asking if the city would help with the remainder of the purchase. The city decided to pay $600 toward the radios and chargers.
Superintendent Lee Wymer said he is going to have the snow blade repaired due to damages incurred last winter.
