CLUB NEWS: Brown County Genealogical Society
Submitted by Marla Hathhorn, BCGS Secretary
The Dec. 20 Brown County Genealogical Society meeting was opened by President Charles Carr, with 18 members and guests present.
The annual election of officers was held.
It was decided to retain as 2019 officer the 2018 officers — President Charlie Carr, Vice President Nancy Prawl, Secretary Marla Hathhorn, and Treasurer Gail Coker-Carr. However, Carr declined the 2019 office of president and nominated Nancy Prawl for president. Prawl nominated Carr for vice president. The 2019 officers will be President Nancy Prawl, Vice President Charlie Carr, Secretary Marla Hathhorn and Treasurer Gail Coker-Carr.
Hathhorn read the October minutes. Coker-Carr presented the October treasurer’s report. There was no November meeting due to a lack of quorum. Both reports were approved.
The Genealogy Library will be open only on Thursdays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. for the first three months of 2019. There will be no meetings or programs in January, February or March. The next meeting will be on April 18.
The Dec. 20 meeting was our annual Christmas potluck dinner with a White Elephant Auction afterward.
