Joshua Soden, 31, of Marysville, was arrested on Jan. 8 by the Nemaha County Sheriff’s Office (NMSO) on a Riley County warrant for failure to appear and a Department of Corrections parole violation warrant. Soden was released to the custody of Riley County on Jan. 9.
At 6:05 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 6, Philip J. Tangeman, 64, of Centralia, was traveling southbound on Kansas Highway 187, 1/2 mile south of 128th Road, when he struck a deer. He was driving a 1995 Chevrolet S10. Less than $1,000 damage was estimated.
The NMSO received a report of burglary from 1946 176th Road in Sabetha. Sometime between Nov. 21, 2018, and Jan. 5, 2019, an unknown person removed various sockets, wrenches, other tools and gas. Value of loss is approximately $235.
