Senator Moran to visit Sabetha on Kansas Listening Tour
Area residents have the opportunity to meet and talk with U.S. Senator Jerry Moran (R-Kan.) next week when he visits Sabetha as part of his Kansas Listening Tour. Senator Moran will hold his Listening Tour from 12:30 to 1 p.m. Thursday, February 21, at Buzz Café, 820 Main Street in Sabetha. The Tour will be immediately following the Sabetha Kiwanis Club meeting, which he also will be attending.
Area residents are encouraged to attend and share feedback with Senator Moran on the critical issues facing Kansas and the nation. According to Senator Moran’s office, the issues he focuses on and the work he does in Washington, D.C., are largely based on the conversations he has with Kansans during these Listening Tour stops.
A news release announcing the visit states: “Throughout his time in Congress, Senator Moran has made it a priority to stay connected to the people he represents despite a distance of more than 1,000 miles between Capitol Hill and Kansas. Since his election to the U.S. Senate, Sen. Moran has continued to hold Listening Tour stops in each of Kansas’ 105 counties. Then-Congressman Moran traveled to each of the 69 counties during his annual ‘Big First Listening Tour.’”
