Nemaha County Farm Bureau honors Kansas Day baby

In honor of Kansas Day, Nemaha County Farm Bureau Board of Directors continues their tradition of honoring a baby born on January 29 or the first baby born after Kansas Day. This tradition began more than 29 years ago. Asah Richard Perry was born on Kansas Day, January 29, at the Nemaha Valley Community Hospital. He weighed 5 pounds, 9 ounces and was 18 1/2 inches long. Asah was welcomed home by his parents, Justin and Cheyenne Perry. Maternal grandparents are Ken and Sue Rhoads of Seneca, and paternal grandparents are Jim Perry of Axtell and the late Adeana Perry. Maternal great-grandparents are Ray Rilinger of Seneca and the late Alice Rilinger, and David Rhoads of Manhattan and the late Mary Rhoads. Paternal great-grandparents are Marjorie Perry of Axtell and the late Wayne Perry, and Clifford Jr. and Joan Peterson, both deceased. Nemaha County Woman Chairman Anna Baker presented a gift bag full of baby gifts to Asah and his parents. Pictured are (L-R) Anna Baker with Nemaha County Farm Bureau, Cheyenne Perry holding Asah, and Justin Perry.
