The Busy Jayhawkers kicked off their April meeting with the roll call question, “What would you do with $100?” which received many entertaining responses.

Secretary Kortney Plattner read the minutes of last month’s meeting, and other officer reports were given. To start the program, April birthdays were celebrated followed by project talks and demonstrations.

Vivian Strahm showed the club a step-by-step tutorial on how to make the perfect grilled cheese sandwich. Shayna Strahm then read one of her favorite childhood books, “Sam and the Firefly.” Grant Stapleton also decided to read a poem from Shel Silverstein’s book, “Where the Sidewalk Ends.”

For par-law, S. Strahm asked the club a few trivia questions about 4-H history. To close, Song leader Reid Plattner led members in singing, “Bring Back my Bonnie to Me.”

The meeting was then adjourned. Next month’s meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Monday, May 20.
