Governor Laura Kelly to appear in Nemaha County
The Honorable Kansas Governor Laura Kelly will speak in Nemaha County at 6 p.m. Monday, June 24, at the Nemaha County Community Building in Seneca.
Families are invited to attend and meet Governor Kelly as she shares her thoughts on the 2019 Kansas Legislative session, followed with questions and answers from the public. Potential voters will have the opportunity to register to vote at the event, if they are not currently participating in the democratic process of voting.
The doors will open at 5 p.m., so if individuals are in the area after their work days, they can arrive, enjoy some light refreshments, and share in her appearance with people of Nemaha County and other Kansans who care about issues that affect our residents — our economy, our schools, our businesses, our environment and farms, and our standards of healthiness and living.
Nemaha County Democratic Chair JoLene Bloom said, “The wish for individuals to meet the Governor, to learn of important topics to Kansans, and to provide access to our Governor in a personal, face-to-face format, is often rare.”
The evening is free, and no RSVP is required.
