Head Coach Alicia Deters said the girls played some tough competition at Hayden.

“I thought they played really well despite what score says,” Coach Deters said. “This is a good meet to build on.”

Senior Rachel Kramer represented Sabetha in the number two singles competition. She went 2-1 on the day, defeating Baldwin and St. James.

Senior Bree Voos competed in number one singles and went 1-2 on the day defeating Baldwin.

Seniors Hannah Wertenberger and Kinsey Menold also defeated Baldwin, but fell to Hayden and St. James.

Playing for Sabetha in number two doubles was senior Deborah Edelman and junior Nicole Stallbaumer. They also went 1-2 for the day.

The Lady Jays will host Hiawatha, Hayden and Maranatha at 3 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 12, at home.
