Morrill City Council 9.3.2019

The Morrill City Council met in regular session on Tuesday, Sept. 3, with members Brad Stolzenberger, Dan Halstead, Todd Gruber and Kevin Wikle present. President of Council Todd Gruber presided.
Minutes and vouchers were approved.
City Attorney Bill O’Keefe was given updates concerning ongoing court cases to include what the next step would be for condemnation of the church. O’Keefe stated he would look into it. Council thanked him and then he left.
Linda Duesing presented information concerning the Big Kansas Road Trip, inviting the council to attend some of the upcoming meetings. Council thanked her and she left.
Council instructed Code Enforcement Officer David Frey to inspect the town for any possible violations.
The matter of voting Matt Walker to the fire department was tabled.
After discussion of the clerk’s annual evaluation, council approved dropping the clerk’s hours of work to 32 hours per week, on salary, plus $14/hour for court attendance.
Superintendent Wymer stated he is removing the tin roof off the old shed and would like to know what the council would like him to do with it. Council instructed Superintendent Wymer to contact someone outside of town who collects junk and sell it.
