L and L Resellers offers affordable refurbished items

If you are searching for affordable, interesting items, there is a new shop in town just for you. L and L Resellers — located at Glacial Hills Business Resource Center, 913 Dakota, in Sabetha — offers interesting pieces to fill your home.

L and L Resellers, owned by Linda and LeRoy Swogger, opened Sept. 3. Earlier this year, the Swoggers decided they needed to open a business.

This sign for L & L Resellers is displayed outside the south side of Glacial Hills Business Resource Center.

“Our idea for the business came from our love of repurposing and recycling items,” Linda said.

The Swoggers then started attending auctions and acquiring new, next to new and gently used items. They both enjoy putting “some TLC and elbow grease” into making items reusable.

“We were having some success at reselling,” Linda said.

They sold items at one flea market and during the citywide garage sales in June, which helped spur the idea for a physical location for their wares.

“We offer some new items and some hardly used at all items, along with refurbished items,” Linda said.

The store also carries vintage and antique items.

“Young people starting out and new families cannot always afford brand new items,” she said. “We would also like the opportunity to look for special needed items that some people do not have the time to look for.”

The Swoggers would also love the opportunity to refurbish a special item for someone.

“I love to craft, and working with silk flower arrangements is my favorite,” Linda said.

L and L Resellers is open from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and closed on the weekends.

Open House

A Fall Open House will be held for all the businesses at the Glacial Hills Business Center from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. Visitors can tour the building and visit all the businesses. Drawings and giveaways also will be held at select businesses.
