The Morrill City Council met in regular session on Monday, Nov. 4, with members Brad Stolzenberger, Kevin Wikle, Dan Halstead and Todd Gruber present and Mayor Roger Price presiding.
Minutes and vouchers were approved.
David Frey said he will be following up on properties that are needing to be cleaned up.
Several people have voiced interest in demolishing the old church but no bids have been received.
The council reviewed the 2020 Blue Cross Blue Shield of Kansas insurance proposal. The council accepted the proposal.
The upcoming hearing amending the 2019 Budget was mentioned.
City Attorney Bill O’Keefe had sent letters to the individuals concerning possible condemnation of their houses.
Superintendent Lee Wymer stated he had found and fixed the water leak.
A rental property has been connected to electrical service. The water has remained off due to the leak had not been repaired. The sewer had been cleaned out.
Wymer stated the City of Seneca has good used electrical meters for sale at $10 each. The council decided to purchase up to 30 of the meters.
